- It’s August now, and that means we’re off to the races. Training camps have already begun, and GoHuddleUp has you covered. Our Newslinks will keep you abreast of the latest developments, so come back often.
- Miles Austin has been tabbed by many people as a sleeper in Dallas’ system. Apparently that talk is over, as the team is reporting Patrick Crayton will start opposite Roy Williams this season.
- Anquan Boldin says 15 teams were ready to trade for him this offseason, but he’s returned to Arizona for another year. And he still doesn’t have a new deal.
- Donald Brown continues to get positive pub. This time it comes at the expense of Joseph Addai, who is only practicing once a day as he recovers from offseason surgery.
- Texans corner Jacques Reeves broke his leg today in practice. He reportedly heard a “crack” and immediately fell to the ground. Someone should get on the phone with Dunta Robinson immediately.
- Trent Edwards isn’t worried about working with enigmatic WR Terrell Owens this season at all. Or is he? Writer Tom Curran Tweets about a conversation he had with Edwards.
- Tarvaris Jackson continues to miss time with a strained MCL. He’s unsure of when he’ll return to the field and throw more inaccurate passes.
- The Chiefs were looking to add a veteran wideout to their roster, and found one in former Giant Amani Toomer. The club agreed to terms with Toomer today.
- At a time when most GM’s are shying away, the Packers aren’t saying “no way” to a possibility of signing Michael Vick. They haven’t said “yes way” yet either.
